EU Drops Aid Package to Khmer Rouge Tribunal to €2.9 Million for 2016
Phnom Penh , July 26 – European Union has dropped down its swore bundle help to the Khmer Rouge tribunal known as the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) to just €2.9 Million ($3.1 million) during the current year of 2016, a public statement issued today, July 26, 2016 by the ECCC said.
The guide bundle speaks to just 30 percent of the sum that EU has vowed to the ECCC for its proceeded with operation. The sum will be partitioned into €1.5 Million for the worldwide segment and another €1.4 Million for the Cambodian segment of the ECCC.
EU vowed in 2015 an aggregate guide bundle of €8.9 Million ($9.8 million) to ECCC. In any case, by 2016, just €2.9 Million of the swore sum has been given.
