Trapped endangered Asian elepant dies in eastern Cambodia

PHNOM PENH, July 25 — An imperiled Asian elephant had kicked the bucket in eastern Cambodia in the wake of maintaining an extreme foot twisted created by a catch trap, a nearby authority said on Monday.

"The youthful male-elephant kicked the bucket on Sunday, a day after he was safeguarded from the shocking catch in the wilderness," Sin Vannavuth, legislative leader of Mondolkiri Province's Keo Seima region, told Xinhua.

The doomed elephant had been caught inside the Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary for a considerable length of time before he was found by local people, he said.

"The elephant kicked the bucket of genuine harm on his front, left foot and no nourishment and water when he had been in trap for quite a long time," the senator said.

He included that seekers set catch traps with expects to execute littler wild creatures, however shockingly got the wild Asian elephant.

Cambodia is home to more than 500 wild elephants, as indicated by the Forestry Administration.
